Tara Spa announced that its team of technicians had the honor of participating in the 25th anniversary celebration of KOTO, held solemnly at the Hanoi Opera House. In addition to supporting backstage operations, Tara Spa’s visually impaired technicians also performed artistic pieces, including Saxophone and vocal performances, adding an emotional highlight to the event.

Tara Spa’s representative, Mr. Duong Bui, also delivered remarks on stage, sharing the journey of visually impaired individuals overcoming barriers to affirm their abilities.
He stated: “Today, I am very happy to be here at the Grand Theater with members of the Blinding Band to perform and share real stories about the talents of visually impaired people. Many assume that visually impaired individuals face significant difficulties living and working like others. However, most members of our band confidently perform in front of hundreds of people, showcasing their musical abilities.”

He added that beyond musical talent, many band members are also highly skilled therapeutic technicians who have helped thousands of international and Vietnamese clients relieve stress, pain, and improve their well-being over the years. Some members even manage spas or have graduated from Tue Tinh Traditional Medicine University. “Currently, I am also managing a small health-care spa in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, where visually impaired technicians can work, build their careers, and improve their income. We hope Tara Spa will continue to grow and bring more opportunities to many others,” he shared.

The representative of Tara Spa expressed appreciation for the opportunity to perform at the Hanoi Opera House, and extended thanks to Mr. Jimmy Pham, the KOTO organization, and Mrs. Maren Walter, who guided and helped build the program to deliver outstanding performances. Over the past 25 years, KOTO has made a profound social impact, supporting thousands of disadvantaged youth in Vietnam to access education, vocational training, and better life opportunities. Tara Spa’s presence at the event underscores the values of inclusion, perseverance, and the remarkable talents of the visually impaired community in Vietnam.
